3 way fridge

Can you tow with the fridge running on propane? I always heard they had to be pretty level to run on propane. Or should i just keep my stuff in the cooler untill i get set up?

I get the RV home, plug in and let the electric cool the fridge down for 24 hours. When we leave its on propane and it keeps everything cool. It does have to be level for the fridge to cool down/work, but I've never noticed an issue on the road and always have it on propane while driving.

Only when stationary and that applies to elec too. The movement while towing doesn't cause problems.

common sense. Yes, you can leave on propane. If you have 'auto' just leave it on that. I suspect your refirg is OLD.

as for level, again, use common sense, you don't have to spend hours making it perfect. if you can sleep/walk in it comfortably than it should be good to go.

BUT, if you have a 3 way (one of them 12volt) just don't use unless you have lots of batteries.

I didn't even know they made 3 way refrigs anymore.

So you could run it on DC on the road if you have a 7-pin connector, except that our 1007 had the fridge wired into the DC shutoff switch, so it would not run DC with the lid down (stupid design). Surprised you don't have a battery as all 1007's (at least here in Canada) have electric brakes. May not be required in some states though, so I get that it may not be all 1007's.
We always ran ours on propane on the road, but just so you know that theoretically you can do it from the tow vehicle's alternator as well (may require a bit of wiring).

Probably suppose to have a battery, i am like the 3rd owner so idk if it was taken off or what, it does have the electric brake thing on the tongue, each state has its own electric brake rules. It only has the flat electric connector for the lights, owner i got it from had a 7 pin to flat adapter on it
