All I can say is there have been other units in years past that are no longer on the market, Carrier being one and now people can no longer get the control boards. I know many people are not happy with the FURRION TV's that JAYCO uses/used.

hmmm there is VERY little information about these Furrions. They look nice, and the features they come with sound great. They're supposed to be very quiet.
BUT. It makes me nervous purchasing a fairly unknown product, and I feel like less people will stock parts/know how to service it if required since it's less common?

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. I'm still doing a little research but ... I think Coleman is the tried, tested and true brand and parts will not be scarce.

Going to continue hijacking this thread since we're both in the same situation.
The campground that I booked next week (I think) only has 15A hookups at the sites, which means I probably shouldn't run my brand new AC off the 15A with the Camco 30-15 adapter?
I purchased the Airxcel Mach 3 Plus (48203C866). It has a cooling amps-high of 13.1, but that's still pushing the recommended limits for 15 amp service, and using an adapter is even more tricky...

Where are you camping? I haven't seen a CG with only 15 amp service for probably 30 years and then we were in CANADA. With that said, if the breaker is not weak and you only run the air it should work.

The place we're going does offer full 50 / 30 AMP hookups, but the only availability they had was down by the tenting area and they have it labeled "Electric / Water". I just need to call them tomorrow and find out what the details are.
I was not thinking ahead when I booked it, thinking "Yeah, it's 13 AMP AC, it will work..." Then I got to reading tonight and started to think about it more.

I agree. I've been there Coast to Coast, ex Newfoundland/Labrador, and as far North as Moosonee(took the Polar Bear Express). It's just that years ago many CG's only provided 15 or 20 amp service, the 30 amp sites were about 10% of the park, especially as you went West.

When I wire the cord into the Mach 3 plus, to run to the outlet, exactly what cord do I need and what plug?

Based on what I've read and what little information and pictures I could find of other people's install, you'll have to create and run your own 12/14 gauge wire from the ceiling unit to the plug below the dinette.
My plan is to use a cable hider strip, run it to the back wall and along the ceiling then put a plug in the corner. Then run another cable from the corner down and hide it behind the dinette into the plug. So when I close up the camper, I can unplug it there and not have to worry about the cable being pinched anywhere.
I don't get my A/C unit until next Thursday, so this is all speculation and hope.

Putty knife along with acetone or lacquer thinner. Just be sure you don't gouge the aluminum.

Will acetone hurt the paint that is already on the roof? How cautious do I need to be with it?

??? Just don't go crazy with it. You need to get the residual caulk off with something.

Makes sense. Been watching some videos. Does every scrap of that dicor or sealant need to be gone?

Second question, is there anything stopping me from leaving the beds extended (with the bow braces out) as I lower the roof some, to have room to work?
