Amber front entry light fixture

Has anyone upgraded to an LED bulb in their amber front entry light fixture? The factory-installed lightbulb makes the fixture very hot when left on for hours, an LED bulb would ease the risk of a fire, reduce electrical power usage and likely last a very long time. Your thoughts please?

Yes, Mine was a 921 bulb and I ordered 20 of them from Amazon and changed out all of them in my TT.

I have switched all my RV lights over to LED best thing I have done for it. Just don't get the small cheap ones.. their light output is minimal and not worth the effort.

Yes. Installed a LED bulb in that fixture years ago in a class-B we owned, primairly to save power when we dry camped. Easy change. Had the vehicle for about 10yr. Never had to change it, or any of the other LED bulbs, again.

Yes..change it. No more worry about to much battery drain and it won't melt the cover.

Like most, I upgraded from Amazon choices, the round discs are a warm color and quite similar to 921 incandescent. I bought a pair of the cylindrical ones for greater coverage( and I didn't need another 10 pk) those particular bulbs had the daylight color (kinda blue) in the yellow outside lens, its a god awful greenish color

So is it advisable to purchase the flat disk type?? Any idea what the Kelvyn rating is on the flat disk type? I see one on Amazon being around 3000 Kelvyn.
