Had two pop ups. Our first was a viking 6 box as they call it and then went bigger and then went to a trailer almost 2 years later. I love our trailer. Had some good memories but so glad to be in a trailer now. But yes I still see pop ups at campsites with huge families with young children. I guess if its not just you but everyone helping with the set up is fun. Now its just me and I do not want to deal with it. Now to get it to stop snowing so I can clean out the unit.

I think now that fuel is high you will see the pop up and ultra lite trailers be very popular now.

Our first camper was a 93 Jayco Eagle 10 pop up. Many good memories were made in it, and the porta potty was great. Removed the ice box and installed a small electric fridge in the hole, and it did well. Even bought the outdoor screen room for it. We were definitely uptown. Had a 4 bike rack on top.

You have a better chance of fitting a pop up in your driveway too.

We were out west and got caught in a dust storm then we had tornadoes with 18 wheelers flipped. We made it to our campground that night. Then we spent one hour in a Landry room that was built for cover. A trailer would have never made it!

I have a trailmanor in the back drive way, after spending half a grand on gas to go camping in the MH a few weeks ago. I'm kinda missing that 12 mpg my little Frontier got pulling it around the country.

I'm still active on a pup site and it's as active as ever. Ours had a 10' box and two king beds. If a motorcycle hadn't have t-boned it, we'd probably still be using it.
But I doubt we would ever return. Having a full bath, walk around bed, better climate control, etc is too much to give up at our age.
