Awning Bag

My awning bag is stitched on to a piece of material that is then secured to the trailer with screws. The stitching has come loose on one end and the entire bag is beginning to pull away. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Usually the trailer end of the awning is stitched along with the bag and the plastic spine that slides into the channel of the trailer roof.

Around here a bag awning can be had for $75 so maybe that answers your question. Or go to the fabric store and pick up the biggest sewing needle and some weather resistant thread then go to it!!

Thanks. I've never sewn before, but I had never owned a PUP until a month ago, either. So, maybe it's time I learned.

just had mine repaired need to have an upholstery shop sew it with an industrial sewing machine that plastic track is pretty thick and needs to be heavy duty thread or it wont hold and you would hate to lose it on the road. cost me 40 bucks
