Awning repair

We have a Jayco 16' pop-up. The awning was torn when the door was opened before the awning was finished being set-up. We now have a clean but nice sized rip. Will a simple repair with duct tape be the solution or will that lead to problems?

Best place for a good repair is a boat canvas shop.

I believe they make a repair tape for awnings, check with your neighborhood trailer shop, or Amazon

In the long run, it's probably just worth it to buy a new awning. They aren't all that expensive.

You don't really need an awning and they are sort of pain.

If you want an awning, get the kind that are motorized

Always put the awning up if you leave camp or live with the fact that if any weather comes up while you are gone then your awning WILL BE destroyed.

Most rv shops sell awning repair tape, or amazon probably has it too!
