Bearing grease for Jayco 12 UD
Hello,
I have a question. What type of bearing grease do you use for your pop-up camper?

I use Lucas Red and Tacky on all my trailers including my camper.

Are you the original owner? If so, the owner's manual will recommend a grease based on what the fabricator uses. If you are a second owner, I would pull the bearings apart, do a deep clean of the bearings first, as you have no clue what the previous owner might have used.
The key is to locate a grease that says it is a high temperature bearing grease. You do not want to mix different types of grease together (mixing brands is ok, types not ok). I like Lucas Red and Tacky, primarily because I can remember its name, when I need more.

X2 on the clean and replace 100% of the old grease. Also a great time to check brakes if you have them. Youtubes are a great way to learn on this. Watch more than one.
Also, if you ever break down it will give you some understanding of how to fix it yourself or if the repair guy is blowing smoke.

I've used Mobil 1 Synthetic grease for many years. I service the bearings every 2 or 3 years, and never add more grease to the bearings between services.
