Bearings & Seals - 2001 Jayco Eagle 10ud

Hello
I am new to the pop up community and I am planning a long trip (8,000 KM) and would like to have a spare bearings/seals kit for my Jayco pop-up (single axle).
Is there a way to get a part number of what I need for this?

thanks
Marty

Might be hard without pulling a wheel. Check the axle tag, but with a unit that old, it maybe difficult to read anymore.

When I pulled the wheels to repack the bearings, I tracked down what I needed from the physical bearing and seal. If you go this route, try not to damage the writing on the seal, when you punch it out.

Why not just have them replaced before your long trip? If you want another set - they can sell them right there.

Is this something that you would want to do while on a trip?

Inspect them before your trip!
Check your tires and lug nuts too!

When I brought my trailer home from the dealer one of the first things I did was pull each wheel to insect the bearings and seals. I found one so tight I could barely spin the wheel, and one with almost no grease in it at all. I was able to grab part numbers and order Timken replacements for the ones in the camper. I ordered 2 spare sets because you never know what could happen.

If when you pull your out you can't read the original part numbers you can take the set to a local auto parts store and they can measure / match them up for you. I would stay away from the big box auto stores if possible. Try and find an old school auto parts store in your area.

My local NAPA is much better at this than the Autozone and O'Rielly's.

It looks like you live near Detroit. Look for a bearing shop that sells to the public. Google shows several. They should be able to match up any bearing you bring them.
