Bed is Over Extending

I am so glad I found this forum!! Even though we have used pop-ups in the past, this is our first to own. It is a 2009 model 1207 and needs some TLC. All of the issues are minor (we hope), but the main issue is concerning the queen sized bed (the back one). When we pull it out, it over extends and there is actually a gap between the bed and the back of the camper. The bed tilts toward the ground, even with the braces in place. The king bed (the front one) seems to stop and doesn't want to over extend, so I am assuming that whatever stops the bed is missing or broken on the queen bed. Can anyone tell me where this stop is? Is it an issue with the rails, or is there something on either the bed or the camper? The bed can't be used until this is resolved. Thanks for any replies.

The bed stop.. You can buy them at a Jayco dealer.. Probably easier than running from hardware store to hardware store looking for a match.. A good parts/service dept will even show you how to get at where it goes.

They are easy to install as well. I would buy a few spairs so you have them on hand. I would also check all the rollers and make sure they are in good shape and order a few extras so you have them on hand as well. It is cheap insurance

I have been talking with a dealer for Jayco. I think the primary problem is with the little plastic ends on the rails. I thought they were cosmetic, but the dealer seems to think it is part of the stop mechanism. Mine are missing. If I can't replace the plastic caps, I will have to buy new rails. Does this sound right? I don't think the dealer or I am sure about this diagnosis. The weather is going to cooperate today to pop the camper back up and look for myself.

We fixed the over-extension problem yesterday. My father (the master surfer on the www) found replacement pieces that would probably have worked (Milwaukee Trailer Sales | RV Covers | Travel Trailer Covers | Trailer Services | RV Repairs | RV Parts and Accessories | Hanna Trailer Supply Oak Creek, Wisconsin), but the pieces were back-ordered 2-4 weeks. So we went to the local hardware store and bought at 3/4" carriage bolt, washer, and two nuts.
Seems to work well. We used a nut in the middle of the bold for the part that hits the stop bolt so it doesn't damage the bolt itself.Thanks for throwing your advice my way. We are much closer to taking our first trip in our "new" camper.
