Brake pulses at higher speeds - Jayco 10SD 2017

Hi All,

Anyone experience pulsing when applying the brakes at higher speeds? say 100km/h (60mph)? Lower speeds aren't an issue.

Coming back through the mountains recently and going downhill. Caused the steering wheel to shake as well which didn't help the confidence.

I haven't done anything to the brakes since it left the lot. I've only towed to trailer less than 1500kms. Using a Tekonsha P3 controller.

thanks for any guidance.

Trevor

It sounds like it may be the steer rotors on the tow vehicle. To rule this out I would try to turn off the brake controller and see if the pulsing is gone. If not it is a problem in the tow vehicle.

I agree, it's the front rotors on your TV. TT brakes would give you a shake in your seat. A minor rotor warp of .003" to .004" will show up in the steering wheel.
