Brrrrrr... heat in the AC/Heat roof unit not working, or I didn't do something right

We spent a frigid night in the driveway last night and are supposed to pack up and head to the campground this afternoon, but, we froze last night. The AC/Heater (roof) was pushing out cool air all night. Is there a hidden panel that I need to flip a switch to make the heat work? Help...

Most roof AC units do not have heat. Most likely you have a gas furnace. To run it, turn on the propane, switch the thermostat to heat, and set the temp high enough for the furnace to cycle on. If it is the first time it has been used be prepared for the smoke alarm to go off as the furnace burns any protective oil on the internal sheet metal.

Also, if you are going to a powered campsite most people find that a couple ceramic heaters powered by the campgound grid are the most economical way to heat a trailer. I like Polonis brand because the fan speed regulates down as the thermostat setpoint is approached (less noise).

There are cheaper heaters also.

Unless the design has changed, if you buy the Polonis heater shown be careful with a small rubber hose sticking out the back. It is a temperature sensor and subject to damage if it is kinked over during storage. Other than that I feel they are worth the extra money. It is often surprising how well those heaters can work to heat a small space.

I hada jayco qwest with the ac heat combo roof air once it got below 40 it wouldn't keep up a good space heater is the way to go

2x on a space heater. We only have a single 30# LP tank and I live in fear of waking up one chilly morning with the bride shouting "there's no hot water!".

Space heater gets a vote. Plus they are quiet.

If you have a Heat Pump on your A/C They don't work real well below 40 degrees!

x2 to what judgerr said. I added the heat pump option to our 2014 375, and it does a great job of knocking the chill off, but when it gets below about 40* you will have to run either the furnace or ceramic heaters..
