Can I install a furnace on a 2017 Sport 12UD?

Hey everyone, I'm looking at buying a new 2017 Jayco Sport 12UD. This particular unit does not have a furnace installed as part of its standard equipment. If I buy it and decide I'd like to install one later, is that possible? Or am I then limited to having electric / catalytic heaters and what not?

Thanks so much!

I would suggest you try to get one factory installed, cost less and probably a neater job then the dealer or you could do.

All it needs is 12 volts, propane line and space to put it with holes on the outside.

I saw some for sale with a furnace installed.

Welcome aboard!

I am sure it can be done especially if your handy.. You only need a small hole for the vent assembly out the wall, and a hole in the floor for the gas line.

Personally, there is very little storage in a PU, If you are in Atlanta GA, I would consider an electric 1500 watt heater, and electric mattress pad heaters. Your heating needs should not be great.

Ok great, I appreciate the replies.

It does certainly seem like something a dealer could do easily enough if I wanted to do it later. But yeah, maybe the portable heater and mattress pads is a better call anyway.
