Charging The Battery

When I put the camper away after the last trip I forgot to unhook the battery now, getting ready to go again the battery is dead. I am going to plug the camper up to the house to check some things out. Will the converter charge the battery while it's plugged up? To a full charge or do I need to hook up a battery charger to accomplish this? Can I have the charger hooked up and the camper plugged into house at the same time? Thanks!

The converter will charge your battery completely. The issue that may occur is that when you completely discharge a battery, it may not hold as much as before. Batteries should not be discharged below 50% (12.0 volts) for longevity. If you completely discharge a battery it will drastically shorten its life.

I would hook them up to a battery charge for at least a day, then check their voltage etc.
Check out this manual, lots of good info, at this link

I have a 12117 charger for bike that I am about to hook onto my batteries and am looking into another one, maybe solar version for our 5'er.

Desulfating looks to be the thing that may bring them back to life.

I've used the Battery Minder brand for several yrs and am pleased with their performance.
