Cleaning canvas

Does anyone know a good solution for cleaning the top of the canvas? We have a JayFeather that has the 2 ends that are canvas and after camping for a week under trees, the canvas has stains from all of the things that drop onto it. Looking forward to hearing from all of you pros out there.

I always used dishwashing soap & a spongeon our pup's, keeping up with the crap negates the use of anything stronger and saves a lot of elbow grease.I used simple green on the awning on our 19h and it worked great. Larry

I've also just used a dry brush on our tent vinyl. If the fabric is not horribly filthy, a few sweeps with the bench brush seems to work well with removing light dust/dirt/bird poop/etc. If its gotten stained or sap spots, its time for warm soapy water.
