CO monitor beeping

Popped up camper to clean today. Nothing running. No gas, no AC. Very loud beeping started and red light next to the green started flashing on the CO/propane white panel. I have a jayco 1007 pop up. I didn't see a battery to replace. Any thoughts? Thanks.

If I remember right, the C02 detector needs to be replaced every 5 (?) years.

Our old Rockwood travel trailer co would beep when the trailer battery very low on charge.

Thoughts: Fumes can set it off (what were you cleaning with?) as well as a low battery.

As mentioned, chances are your 12 volt trailer battery charge level is low.
There is no separate battery in the detector.

CO detector

Thanks for info. I bet it was low battery. I've left pop up plugged in and beeping has not resumed. Our trailer is also about 5 years old so I will replace the CO detector.

yes, cleaning chemicals, aerosols, and bug sprays/bombs can set it off. Were using any?

also take a can of air and blow it inside a little. a little spider could have made a web which would also make it become faulty.

We are on our 3rd detector in 6 years. Not a long lasting product. Every time the detector went bad it was like 2 or 3AM, of course. So this last time I installed a cut-off switch on the hot side. It has been a few years and no issues yet. I put the date the warranty ends on the front of it.

It's one of those things you learn the hard way: The combo CO/LP detector is also a low voltage detector. It will beep whenever one of those is detected. Fourthly, it will also beep when it is reaching end of life. They say they'll last 5 years but, but best thing its to just replace it every few years. Beats being woken up in the middle of the night. Someone here said they lived next to a trailer storage lot and heard those things beeping all winter, from people who didn't remove their batteries prior to storage and then the batteries drained and set off the detectors.
