connecting canvas to screen door frame

so I've been doing little odds and ends on the pup that I bought not long ago nothing major or too serious as far as repairs, but I do have a question as for where the canvas meets the door frame I can tell there may have been some sort of lip that slid into the door frame but whatever it was is now gone I'm holding off on replacing the canvas until tax time but for now just need an easy solution right now there is Velcro on it buy it doesn't very well does anybody have any quick and cheap solutions to this maybe a heavier duty Velcro or should i buy something like some plastic trim to glue on but would also have to be flexible for when its collapsed any opinions would be great Thank you!

Are you sure it's not there? The canvas folds back into a slot on the door frame. Cup your two hands and pull them against each other. That's how the canvas attaches to the door frame. Sorry I can't explain it better.
