Converter problems?

I recently purchased a 2000 Jayco Eagle 10 UD pop up camper. It didn't come with a battery so I thought I would test the lights by plugging in to shore power. None of the 12 v lights work. Interior or exterior. Shouldn't all of the 12 v lights work when connected to 110? Shouldn't the 12 v lights work when connected to the tow vehicle also? Is this a converter problem? Or is there something else going on

There should be a switch that changes battery to converter and vice/versa. Have you checked it? Otherwise could be a blown fuse.

Converter problems?

Did u test it at the time of purchase and if so did everything work?

Install a 12v battery and try again. I could be mistaken but I believe you still need the 12v battery in place, even when connected to shore power, for the 12v items to work. It’s been too many years to be certain but I think when I first got one of my campers I tried to use some 12v stuff while plugged in and battery disconnected and the 12v stuff didn’t work….

And maybe some converter systems need a 12v battery even if plugged in to shore power and others don’t. But would be easy to check with a 12v battery in place. Or look up your converter and see if there is a switch like Grumpy pointed out. Good luck!
