Door Rebuild

Has anyone rebuilt a pop up door? We have a 1984 1008 SG and the door is starting to come apart in pieces. Curious if anyone rebuilt one or bought a replacement.

Neither. I'm thinking it's unlikely you will find one in stock for a 40 year old trailer, so rebuilding seems like a more likely option. If the frame is in good shape, replacing panels, screens and hardware shouldn't be too difficult.

If you’re talking about a half door, then yes I have. My door had rotten out at the bottom. I was able to take apart the door and replace the 1x2’s inside and around the perimeter of the door. I did not have to replace the panel of the door inside nor the outside, just basically re-framed it.

Does anyone know what they are called or where to get the frame pieces of the upper panels that slide up and down? The upper part of the picture. Thanks.

I stumbled across this one looking up other vids on our pop up. It looks pretty easy but you'll need a few tools and basic skills.
