Dry camping fresh water fill-up

How does everyone fill their pop up freshwater tank when dry camping? Via gravity feed obviously, but what's the easiest way to get the job done?

Not sure what you mean. If water is in a hose then I have an 18 inch piece I cut off to thread down into the water inlet. If I have to bring it in a water carrier a funnel with a long bendable spout is the way to go.

Yep, that would be what I'm asking. I'm totally new to this. Maybe a silly question but how do you know when the fresh tank is full? Overflows?

There is an overflow tube at the top of the tank. You'll see water pouring out under he camper once the tank is topped off.

Oh, that and a water bandit look like a great combo! Arrive at the park, fill up, go to the site and you're done. Just turn it off when it starts overflowing from the valve?

For 25 years I had to gravity fill my Lance Camper. After many years I found it was much easier to have my sons hold the jug up and do the filling for me. Definitely much easier for me.

Another thing I tried which worked was get an old 12 volt water pump and use it to transfer from our jugs to the camper. That worked well.

Now I have a Greyhawk and love their method of sucking the water in.

At first I used a water bandit with a water tank filler on the end of my jerry can. Worked good. Still get some water on my feet.

With my current TT, may or may not work for you. I use my pump flipped to winterizing mode, and my outside shower. I pump the water out of my jerry can, through the shower hose, and down into my gravity fill port. May or may not work for you.

My gosh, I always hated trying to keep that thing in the gravity fill tube. Just before my last camper was totaled, I found this.

It is a much better design.

I use the Camco filler tube with a cheap meter like this attached to it. I know exactly how many gallons I’ve filled and when to stop.

A 35 gal tote, that I carried in the back of the PU and filled at various water stations in locations where we camped, a 12 volt water pump, and enough clear hose to go from the tote to the pump and to the tank fill.

One of these is handy for the faucets that don't have a male threaded connection

YEP...even works great with the new pump fill set up. Just need a male end on the hose and two pumps are better than one....
