We have one and maybe have used it a couple of times... It will level your wheel base with some cranking...
I'm not so much against using ours but it is always on the bottom of everything we have throwed into our front deck storage area.
Most campgrounds are level enough to go without one but camping off the road sometimes runs into some unlevel ground.
I have to have in-line pretty much level to allow my trailer door to open with ease but i like to drop the back side of the trailer an inch or so to allow the roof water to drain off away from the patio area.
