First post with questions

First thing, hi to everyone! My wife and I are getting ready to buy a super nice '09 1207. My questions concerns the outside shower and toilet choices. The first thing is what to use for the outside shower enclosure as I can't find anything from Jayco online. Second question is alternatives for the toilet issue because we're not real fond of the "porta potti" idea but aren't aware of any other choices. It's been 35 years since we bought our first pop up and things have sure changed since then. Thanks for your help, DR

It's hard to respond to those 2 issues because we're all so different when it comes to those things. There are small tent type enclosures folks use for privacy outside their camper. The hospital type bedside urinals are available, but not everyone's first choice. We enjoyed our 1207 and I'll bet you get things figured out and enjoy yours too.

During our pop up days we used this:

We would put the porta-potti inside and we were good to go.

I have read post over on PopUpPortal.com that people have set these up next to there outside shower cover door and then modified the shower tent to pull the shower wand thru it. I'm sure you'll find something that will work for you.

This picture was taken at Canton Lake in NW Oklahoma. We held one of our Oklahoma Pop Up rallies there a few years back.

we have the cabelas deluxe shower shelter, its on sale for $105 right now. not the easiest to set up but is pretty darn sturdy and very nicely constructed. we can even hang our solar shower from the top and thats a bit of weight. as far as a toilet goes , if we are in a public campground the wife likes to be fairly close to the restrooms and that works for us. otherwise there are a lot of choices out there. good luck with the 1207.
