Flag Mounting Options?

I did a little bit of research on this site and I thought I found a solution that didn't involve drilling holes into the side of my camper. I first found a bumper mount, which got me excited but then remembered the rear bed of my popup hangs over that bumper. Then I got excited when I found a frame mount but then remembered that the front bed pulls over that area. Because I'm proud of being an American, I want to fly Old Glory as high as I can.

I'd like to mount off of the camper somewhere too, I'd like to avoid mounting either in the ground or off my vehicles hitch as the vehicle may not be on my camp site all the time. I'd also rather not use one of those little 3-way mounts that accept a 3/8" diameter dowel for the pole. I'm looking for something like I have mounted on my house that has about a 1/2" dia wood pole and a 3x5 flag. Or maybe there's something that I can mount off the top of my roof? Any do-it-yourselfers out there added a pole to your roof or side?

Options:
- Flush mount strap to the door side of the roof. - I'd like to avoid this one only because it may interfere with my current canopy that I intend to slide in front of our door, or later, interfere with an awning.
Flush Mount strap to the hitch side of the roof. This may work well because it will be either pointing straight up or at a slight angle out, towards the front of the camper.Picture below(angled bracket)
- Directly on top of the roof. This would be best for me. Something like picture below. I would then just use silicone to seal it off. But again, not sure if this is good for 3 reasons. Possible leaks? Break off in wind during travel? get in the way of possible future bike rack?
- Small 3-way mount for small dowel flags

Let me know what you've seen or done.

If you have a trailer hitch on the back of your RV you can use this

Thanks for the suggestion. Being a popup, mine doesn't have a hitch on the back. Even if it did, again, the bed pulls out over the back, so I wouldn't be able to stick a flagpole through the canvas and such.

This one might work for you, the base mounts under your tire.

I was going to suggest the same as B5 GTX. I've seen those all over the place camping and appear to be the best for your situation.

Here is a rough pic and an even rougher sketch of one I made. It sits over the A frame on the front of my trailer. I usually secure it with a short length of clothesline but it stays pretty well on its own...
