Gas Stove

The previous owner of the 2001 Jayco Eagle Summit I just bought said he had never used the gas stove. Now, I can't get it to light. I don't smell any gas and I don't hear or feel a pressure "pop" when I disconnect it. I have propane in the tank, the regulator is on and the valve is in the on position. I've tried it both inside and out. Any suggestions?

I wonder if gas is even getting to the stove. Is your furnace working? Also, it can take several minutes for the gas to reach the stove after opening the tank valve.

Is this a portable, external stove that uses a quick disconnect hose?

If so, then there is a lever at each disconnect that looks like is just locks the quick disconnect. this lever also operates a valve inside the disconnect. Make sure the levers are lined up to lock the disconnects.

(found out the hard way).
