The screw cover/ molding should be easy to find at any rv parts and repair facility. I got mine at our local shop. One thing I found is it easier to work with on a hot summer day.

I will not be working on any upgrades ..
but doing much needed research...
I want to install the Electric winch....
I have researched alot online and still have not
found the name of my camper.. .lol
I have only seen a few pics that resembles my camper
but none of the pages tell me what model it is called...
really was hoping someone would know from here..

The winch in your camper is nothing more than a $50 small boat trailer cable winch. It's a single cable that connects to the four lifting cables. If I were interested in putting an electric winch in my pup I would measure the space the manual winch takes and go to a marine store for the least expensive electric winch I could find. You really don't need any brand specific parts.

Here is a winch for the PUP.

https://www.amazon.com/Carefree-P920.../dp/B00HESVTPQ

We had one on our Viking PUP and loved it. We had it 10 yrs and 60,000 miles with no issues.

I understand what I have as far as the mechanics... What I am not so sure about is whether or not the kit will fit...
Thanks for posting that link I have looked that one up already
I actually have another posting about electric for my camper...
when I decide to tackle the upgrade I will replace all the Cables as well.
I believe I can make it work... I had been thinking in case the electrics stop working I believe the winch has a manual over ride.. were you can still crank it if you desire too....
I dont know if that will be possible if my winch is located inside ...
the winch that is listed in that link and technically the only one on the market... is suppose to be mounted on the tongue of the trailer..

Yup very familiar with your system. First and foremost. Mucho importante. Get rid of those open eye bolts and replace them with closed eyes and links. I posted a pic earlier in this thread. If you ever lower the handle too much they won't fall off the cable. Buy 5" bolts not 4". It will give you more room for adjustment. If the cables aren't frayed no need to replace. They don't really stretch much with just roof weight. Most electric winches come with a manual handle. You'll want to align that to the opening in front

GREAT tips...
I do plan on replacing all my cables I get what your saying
but on one corner the wood isnt that great to the corner is lifting
in result the cable has came off the idler pulley
so I am going to install new floor over the old one and then
install aluminum plates 1 on top and 1 under so that it wont happen again.

Short of replacing the whole floor, neatly cut out the linoleum floor in that section the size of the plywood block that your going to glue down with 6x PL Premuim. Then screw the block down into the frame where you can grab steel with hardened self tappers. Through bolts are great but if the floor is weak then so are they. Aluminum plates would work but if you can locate any part of the chassis near the pulley I'd get into that if I could. Wishing I didn't sell my pup. It gave me something to do..

I totally understand what your describing....
what I dont understand is why the manufacture
didnt get into the frame with this.. at all.. in the corners
I have the camper on jack stands and have done some
extensive investigation work plus taking pictures as I go...
to help document my work... it only makes since
that something that has tension on it would be designed
to be mounted into the frame.. but its not..
so good thing for me cause I would suspect over the years,.
either the bolts would have rusted into the frame or someone
would have wollered out the holes and be not good to me..
Just my luck Just saying. lol
as far as taking out the bad wood in that area I am all for that
plus I am going to lay down some half inch finished birch ply on top
of the entire floor.. that will give me a fresh start to lay what ever flooring
I desire..

That's your converter. Converts 110v to 12v. Trickle charge the battery, run your lights and water pump

as for model ..... pretty sure they only had one series of pop-ups back than ( maybe thats why they lasted so long, they concentrated on one thing, and building them right), as for the model, jayco usually goes ex 1406 would be 14ft, sleeps 6. I had a 1206KB .... 12', sleeps 6, KB = king bed.

The title does not say what sz.. I have measured the entire box and its 12 ft
so does that mean its a 12 ft camper ?

It means the box is 12' not the whole trailer. My 1406 was 19-'4" LOA, the box was 14'. Technically they still are
