Interior lights

I have a 2006 jayseries 1007. I can't get the interior lights to work. Battery is charged. Shouldn't the lights work off the battery alone? We just got the trailer in November but have not used it yet... Any comments appreciate Do!

Yes, the lights are 12V and should work fine off the battery. Make sure you don't have a battery disconnect switch that's turned off. Check other things like an overhead fan, if your rig is equipped with one. If that works, check fuses....

There should be a switch, somewhere on the pop up riser that engages when the top is raised. If that switch doesn't make up, the lights won't work. Make sure the top is all the way up. Otherwise try to find the switch to see if it is stuck. Good luck.

Are any of the electrics working in the PUP? If not then as Quah and fmich suggest check switches. There should be an in-line fuse near the battery. Make sure it's there and not blown. (many people remove that fuse when the TT is stored to prevent parasitic battery drain.

Thanks. Iwill look further for the interrupt switch.. Have not found it yet. I should have taken better notes when I bought the trailer! Will check fuses and try to find that switch.

I have power! It was a battery issue. I used my other battery and the solar trickle charger. Everything seems to be working great. Cant wait to get out there. I did find the mechanism on the road side of the roof. That is good too
