ISO Jayco Ceiling Kill Switch

Hello Group!!
New member here. We've had our QWEST for about 18 months and have really enjoyed the family time away it affords us.

After returning from our last outing a few weeks ago I noted the ceiling lights were not working. I researched all over the internet, and thankfully found this forum. I tried ideas shared, and discovered it is my ceiling kill switch. The connector on the side is actually broken off, not repairable. By chance, does anyone know where I can order one? Would that be directly from Jayco?
Thanks!
Dc

Welcome. Depending on the switch it might be available on the internet. For sure a dealer should be able to get it.

Post a picture ( worth a 1,000 words?) and any fine print on it you can see. Someone may have bought one like it for a different application and can give you help.

Adding you make, model and year to any question results in, well, better results.

You can add them to your signature line so you don't have to re-enter them.

New to the group. Just bought my first pup, an '04 Jay series 1206. The ceiling lights weren't working. Saw this thread about the kill switch. Inspected it, found the electrical lead was disconnected. Plugged it back in and voila' lights working!
Thanks for the input. Hope I can be as helpful in the future.

Any 12v pressure switch should work, you may have to do a little fabrication but it should be relatively easy.

Kill switch fixes

I had been having trouble with my kill switch on my 06 1207. A couple of taps on the trip arm would get it working...until my last trip. In the field, I rigged a jumper with alligator clips and a piece of appropriate gauge wire to make the 12v connection. That got the lights working for the rest of the trip. If you do this make sure to remove the jumper when folding up. Word of caution, do not leave the camper wire connectors exposed unless they are connected to the failed switch. I would not want to have a 12v short under the top of a closed camper. Then I ordered a replacement from hannarv. Your local Jayco dealer will be able to get the right part for you.
