Leak in walls near city water connection

Help! We have a 1998 Jayco pop up and took it camping for the first time lst weekend. When we hooked up the water hose to the city water connection we noticed leaking coming from the bottom of the camper, inside the floorboard and leaking onto the ground after it was on about an hour. We disconnected the hose and then had no water all weekend. My question is, how do we get into the walls of the camper to find where the leak is coming from? We are hoping it's just an easy fix like a gasket but have no idea how to access the plumbing. I did see a post about needing a pressure regulator, which we did not have maybe this was the problem? Please help!

Welcome to JOF. I see you have been reading! High pressure could be your problem but I would want to verify that before you have it disrupt your camping enjoyment. If you go to many different places, you never know what the pressure will be. A regulator or an inexpensive meter can tell you but it's a good idea to always be protected.

The only way to access the plumbing is to inspect the area inside for some type of access panel. If there is not one, you may have to make one to verify it is not a loose connection or crimp.

Keep us posted so we can gain experience from your experience.

I am dealing with the same thing on mine. I have a leak were the PEX tubing goes into the city water connection on the inside. I have a panel under the galley that allows access to the hot water heater, converter, etc. There is a hole cut into the back wall for the water lines to go through. There is barely enough room to get my hand in there, but I don't think I have enough room to actually work on it. I may have to enlarge the hole for easier access. I can't remove the wall panel without removing the entire galley cabinet structure. I am afraid I may also have to drill out the pop rivets that secure the city water panel so I can get it fixed.
