LED bulbs for pop up

Just got a new 2014 Jayco sport 10 pop up. Saw a tip that replacing regular bulbs on the 2 inside lights could save battery power, and since we do extended boondock camping I am wondering 1) how much juice the 2 LEDs would save (ie is the $$ saved worth it?), and 2) if it is worth it, where could I get LED bulbs that would fit the sockets. Thanks.

Pull one of the bulbs out to see they type of fitting and the bulb#.

Internet or CW is full of LED versions.

Depending on the LED type, they say you can save somewhere between 80 & 90% on power consumption.

Traditional incandescent bulbs pull close to 1amp per hour , so you could run 8 or 9 times longer on the same 1 amp.

LED bulbs cost anywhere from$2 to $6 a piece.

I replaced every one in my 5er.

Mine looked like this

Different versions have different color hues to them. Mine have a bit of a blue tint to them. The whiter, the more they cost it seams.

I use dx.com. They have TONS of selection. But give the order 4-6 weeks to arrive. I've ordered a lot of component type stuff from them and customer service is excellent.
I've got a couple of orders into them right now for LED replacements for my '99 Heritage Laurel. I've received an order for LED replacements for my '11 Ford Expedition with very good results. Search for: T10 LED warm white.

As others mentioned, see what type bulb is in your camper now. Should be a number on it. Once you get that, then you can google the led equivalent.
Try to get an idea of the “color” led you want. A color temp rating of around 3000k will be a warm white. When you get up to 6500-7000k they look blue. I just replaced some with 3500K and we like them. The wife DID NOT like the blue colored led’s. I ordered mine through e-bay.

Here is a thread where I talked about mine. The picture doesn’t do the led’s justice. Although not as bright as the incandescent, they are not as dim as they seem in the picture, especially now that I have replaced them all.

My wife doesn't like the "cool white" LEDs either. The warm whites though are a nice compromise. I love the lower current draw.

I'm assuming you are talking about the 921 bulbs. In any case, Howie is 110% correct, look for about 3000K color temperature. The next thing to match up is the brightness. About 260 lumens will match the standard 921 bulb. In the flat type of fixture like you see in Howie's pics I used the square flat bulb (maybe 2" square). I bought all of them from ebay and have had great results. They are cheap enough to get an extra one or two.

I've ordered a couple of these. LINK
and a couple of these LINK
I can always add a little resistance to drop the current if I need to.

Wow, if the lumen ratings are correct, one of the panel type would be as bright as 2 of the 921 incandescents.

I find that the lumen ratings stated are the max rating by the mfg. In use, they're usually less.
