Got a new 2017, 8' trailer. When raising or lowering, lift assembly cracks and pops very loud and seems to labor. Voltage is good, gearbox is good, cables are good. Posts and guides do not seem in a bind. What should I check next?
It is my understanding that this is normal ( sounds terrible)
Took me a few outings before I became comfortable with all the noise. I have paid attention to others at the campgrounds and they sound the same if that makes you feel better! BTW I have a 2017 12UD
A follow up question if I may.
Is there some sort of gear release to operate the manual crank? When I try to turn it with a wrench, it spins the motor, causing it to be very hard to crank.
