lifting cable?

my 93 jayco eagle pop up was submerged for about 30 hours because of the flood we had last week. I finally got it cleaned up and done all necessary repairs. when I got ready to close it one of the corners would not come down. I had to hook a ratchet strap from the eye bolt to the frame to get it down. once I got it moving it worked fine.it was submerged in the open position. is there any way to lubricate the lifting cables? is there anything else that could be hanging up?
