Looking for New awning

I have a Jayco Quest 10 and I was hoping someone would know who originally made the awning for my Jayco? As my current awning is beyond repair.

On my awning there is a manufacture sticker on the tube. It has model and build dates and such.

You should be able to get an awning from either manufacture HOWEVER I would stay well away from Carefree of Colorado.... worst bit of junk I have ever owned..

A friend of mine had a Jayco PU and Jayco had made the awning. I am guessing that you had a bag awning? You can get another brand of bag awning if you want to.

Your welcome. Have you located a new awning? I know there are people selling them on ebay.

One more offer of help. I just purchased a new 7' bag awning for my Jayco Qwest 8U '03 from rvworkshop.com, $184, no ship charge. Got it in less than a week. They do canvas as well.

I am looking for an awning for my 2000 Jayco Eagle, not sure what size the opening of the track is. Anyone know? How do you know what size to get?

What model of 2000 Jayco Eagle do you have? I have the 2000 Jayco eagle brochure and it lists the awning lengths in all the floor plans. My 2000 Eagle 266 FBS was equipped with Carefree of Colorado (20 ft.). I would guess that yours is a Carefree also.

Rather than start a new thread, I thought it would make more sense to continue this one.

I picked up a Jayco 2008 1207, but it has no awning. Prior owner says it was destroyed in a storm.

Dealer quoting me nearly $500 plus shipping for the awning and all hardware, but seems to suggest that the Jayco awning is not nearly the easiest to set up. I see other bag awnings from Carefree of Colorado, Dometic, ShadeMaker... My primary purpose is keeping a shaded, and dry space outside the door and dinette window area in the event of rain. Secondary purpose MIGHT be to one day add a screen room to this area, so I like having the option, though I will not pull that trigger just yet.

I would appreciate any insight via personal experience for any of the replacement awnings that fit my "new-to-me" 1207.

I just purchased a new Dometic A&E Trimline bag awning for my popup to replace the one that got damaged last year. The important part is that the awning rail is already attached to my camper. I should be able to slide the old awning out and slide the new awning it, but I doubt it will be that easy. See if there is an awning rail, which is just a channel of some sort running along the top of the popup. If so, putting new awning on might not be that hard. In my case I purchased an 11' awning for under $286 including shipping from Hanna RV. Came in less than a week.

Thanks John. Yes, the unit has an existing awning rail... Like you, I need to replace the original. Am looking for people to share their experiences/opinions on the original Jayco awning, compared to the various replacement alternatives.. Definitely let us know what you think of the Dometic.
