Maintenance on Lift System?

I have an 04 Qwest 10B, and was cleaning some things up for an upcoming trip. Got to thinking, that I've never maintained my lift system. I checked my handbook, and it doesn't say anything about lube or nothing. I looked around online, and some places say to lube it, some say NEVER. So, what is it?

I attached a picture of the crank that's fairly easy to get to. What do you all do to your lift systems like this to help maintain them?

If you lube it only use "DRY LUBE" anything with an oil base attracts dirt.

The L&W lift in my Jayco has been 15 years of non-stop trouble. I am intimately familiar with it having replaced nearly part at one time or another. I can't say there is much to lubricate without the system in pieces.

The best precaution is to carry a number of 7/16" tools (wrenches and sockets) just in case a lift spring collapses or the floor corner pulley pulls out of the wood.

So it kinda sounds like there is no preventative maintenance required and my only option is to just fix it when it breaks?

IF you ever have to replace the eye bolts in your picture,
1) Upgrade them to 5/16”
2) Weld the eyelet closed
3)Determine what corner each cable goes to and Label them!

Other than hitting the grease zerks once a year on the track underneath and occasionally rewinding the cable on the drum (so as not to crush the cable on overlapping winds), that's all I put into it.

The system pictured has no zerks and no track underneath.
Everything runs on top of the floor inside the trailer.

as far as hitting the grease zerks underneath, how much grease do you use? Just a couple pumps or until you see it coming out the end?

Thanks

lift poles

Here's a quick tip I got from another group. Spray the lift poles with silicone spray to keep them moving smoothly. Use a piece of cardboard behind them to avoid overspray on your canvas. Simple, inexpensive, easy and made a small noticeable difference when raising the roof.

FYI When I had my PUP I found the popup portal a great resource for specialized questions.
