Model 806 awning

The rubber bead that is used to attach my awning is tearing off. Is there a replacement awning or a repair solution?

Could maybe try eternabond tape or the like wrapped around it, but if the awning is old, it may be dryrotting and that will only buy you some time before something else tears….

Maybe check with an automotive upholstery shop and see if they can trim it back and sew a new one on. Cheaper than an awning.

Repaired?

I reinforced with nylon and pop riveted to stop further tearing. Seems to work fine so far!
