Need more advice about owning a popup

Still on the hunt for a popup camper for my daughter and her family. I have two questions to pose...
1. Can you store bedding like sheets, sleeping bags, memory foam in the trailer year around...or will they mildew. What could you store year around?
2. Do you need memory foam in a popup camper on the bed ends? I would imagine if you made the dinette into a bed ...for sure you would....but what about the beds...do most use memory foam or not?
Thanks so much in advance for any help!

I had always used memory foam on the popup beds. On our 1986 Palomino, we were even able to make up the bed before a trip. The top would come down and latch even with the memory foam.

We stored our popup with it set up in the garage, so no mildew issues.

When I was a kid, I don't recall any mildew issues with my parents' popup that sat in the yard, not too far from a creek. It was in full sun year round.

We stored year round in Texas and never any problems.
We used 2" memory foam and we could also close with it in place.

Make it as easy on yourself to pack up and go.

When we had a pop-up (10 years) we never used memory foam. But we were a lot younger then. Like 25 years younger. We do use a foam topper in our hybrid, which is essentially the same type of mattress. Again, as we've gotten older we've needed more cushion. So it depends on your how comfortable your daughter is.

So long as it's dry inside you can leave anything but food in all year.

We never used a memory foam in the PU, but like DocBrown said we were a lot younger. I do not like having a lot of stuff. More stuff = more stuff in the way when setting up and tearing down. My brother has at least one in his PU.

We always kept all our camping stuff in the camper when not in use. Key item, making sure the top is properly secured.

Don't put a common tarp over it. They can't breathe and there is a greater chance of mold and mildew

And they will rub paint off as they blow around!

We used foam after a few years either we got more sensitive or the el cheapo mattresses lost their loft. We left bedding in year round on the beds and it would close up ok. In fact we left everything in year round except for food. We left dry goods food in during the camping season but always pulled it out for winter storage. We never had a mildew problem though we live in Colorado where it is usually fairly dry. We did however make sure all was dry before we closed it up. If it rained while we were out I would open it up once home to dry it out before taking it back to storage until the next use.

we had a dedicated plastic tub with lid. All of our linens went in it, laundered and folded away in the tub in the house. Never used memory foam but we did replace the foam after a few years. We did get mice over the years twice and were glad there was less to ruin. Like a regular camper get under there and seal up every opening through the floor with stainless steel wool and foam or silicone to hold it in place. Then inside cabinets where pipes and wires come through the floor seal them the same way. Watch any side openings like furnace, water heater, fridge vents with and buy and install screens that keep out wasps and mice.
