Need some advice on 2007 1207

Hi!

I picked up a used 2007 1207 last year and it is in great shape but does have some little issues.

The queen slide out on the back is very hard to pull out. I believe the one rail has been bent. I called the local Jayco dealer to see what a replacement would cost me. They said the part is no longer made and would try to find out what to do with it.

Can I just take it out and carefully bend it back in to shape using a vice etc?

Secondly the track that this rail goes in to is very lose against the camper wall. I assume from it needing to be pulled on rather harshly over time. Whats the best way to re-secure this? It doesn't seem there is really much there that it screws in to.

Thanks!

Bedslides : Pop-Up Parts

I would try slightly larger diameter screws to tighten the rail up.

The rail is probably loose from the mounting points. I'd start with a silicone spray on the slides and see if that makes a difference. It made a huge difference on mine. You'll probably have to pull slides out to access mounting screws to the frame. There's several sellers on eBay that focuses on older Jayco parts. Vintage Trailer also probably has something.

I added a couple screws from the track into the side wall. It made all the difference in the world to mine. Also greased it with some silicone lube.

This weekend I am going to take the trailer to my parents house where I have some more room to work and take it apart. I was thinking about putting some more screws into the rail support inside but was worried about putting it through the outside of the trailer itself. Guess I will just need to be damn sure about the length of the screws!
