New Arrival

This is our recent Pop Up purchase. '02 Jayco 10v Qwest. This camper has been heavily used, as it was a rental before the previous owner. Thers are a few loose screws, and plenty of cosmetic blemishes- but absolutely ready to camp right now. The front door needs to be fixed up, and I have the upper door insert in the house now to replace the actual plastic as it is cracked, and duct tape isn't our "thing". Probably go with Plexiglass (if i can find the right thickness) then paint the inside leaving a glossy look outside. There are a few outer shell(canvas) issues, but they are small and they will be addressed once we get a chance to clean her up and out. Winter seems to want to it's feet this year, so hopefully I will get a warm and dry window soon to get some cleaning and organizing done- I figure that even though my fiance and I have a few mods/projects in mind that just getting a few trips in will get us thinking about more.

Bottom line is, the floors are solid, there are pretty much no leaks (a couple seams) no water damage, the mattresses are in excellent shape, and there is no gross smells. I got an unreal deal, and this was a purchase from a close friend. Prefect scenario presented itself, and we are completely stoked to have the project...and to not be on the hard ground anymore!

I'll be sure to keep the progress shared here, Cheers

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your awesome find!! You'll be able to fix that stuff easily and at little cost and end up with a camper that's really YOURS!!

Make sure you go out and get a composition book to log your experience. Start with the camper purchase and continue with each trip...where you went, what site you stayed on, all that stuff. Be specific with all the details. Trust me you will really enjoy pulling that book out in the dead of winter and re-living all your days of camping.

I just wish I had started my logbook when I first started camping

I was quite surprised at your photos, you made it sound like the camper was falling apart. It looks so nice. If it does have a few bumps and scrapes, that's good, you will not sweat when you put one in it yourself.

Happy Camping
