older jayco lift system problems

Hello all, I'm new to this forum and am looking for some help. I just bought a jayco pop up and the lift cables are broken. All 4 cables are broke right after the main cable at the winch. Has anyone ever replaced these cables? I can't seem to find where these four cables are supposed to hook up and route to the four lift arms. Does anyone know anything about these that can help a guy out. This is my first camper and am really looking forward to doing some camping and relaxing.

Hi. Did you figure this out? Chances are you have a L&w lift system if it's older (up thru like 94?)

This might help...

There is a link to a lift manual with some diagrams in the 2nd post
There should be a general routing diagram in your camper manual

Good luck if not fixed yet!

lift cable problems

Thanks for the information. I've gotten the cables replaced but now I have a lift arm that is bent and needs replaced. Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement? I've been looking on the web but haven't had any luck yet. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

older jayco lift arm problems

Anyone know where I can buy a new lift arm for my older camper. Mine seems to be bent and is hard to expand. I've looked on the web but am having no luck. Also does anyone know where to find the VIN number? I've looked all over the tongue and front both sides of frame but can't find it. Bout this camper without title and sellar said it was an 85. I did find small warn out plate that said 5/88 so I'm thinking its an 88 but don't know how to verify it. Any ideas?
