Options for lifting a 2007 jayco 1206?

Hey everyone.

My wife and I have a 2007 jayco 1206, and we love it. The only issues we have had is tearing off one
Of the stabilizers, and coming close to dragging the frame when getting to put camp spots.
I had seen some information about putting the spring over the axle as it is a leaf spring set up, and getting lift that way. But the 1206 already is set up like that.
So does anyone know what I can do for a few more inches of clearance?

Thanks
Jarrett

I think as the trailer sits, anything much bigger will rub when going over larger bumps. I want bigger tires once I cant get a bit more lift though.

if it already has the flip axle, and it's that low, it probably has a drop axle, you could have a straight axle installed.

Okay It appears to me that it is a drop axle? Here is a picture. And the pop up hooked up to my truck.

Maybe lift blocks and longer u bolts(between the axle and spring)or longer shackles.I know that is how you would lift a spring over axle setup on a Pickup, however I don't know how that would affect a trailer.

Hey I have an update if anyone is interested.

I finally swapped out the drop axle for a normal one. I had to weld spring perches for the more narrow lead spring on the pop up. I also added st205/75r15 to replace the 185/80r13 wheels.
I should have done this a while ago. I gained at least 6” of cleareance all around.
This is the difference between the two axles

This is at stock height

The new axle with old tires

This is new axle and new wheels

Looks good, I’d get rid of that jack for something that pivots or that Will be the next thing to drag. I bought a drop leg, 8K jack from Etrailer for around $50, worth every penny. Maybe you already have one and it’s just not lifted all the way up.

Hey thanks
Yes i do have a drop leg, its nice to not have to crank the whole way haha. I just didnt have it all the way up from putting on and off the hitch.

Do you leave your stabilizers until you get to where you are going? Or is it just the picture?

That's what I figured after looking at the picture.

I got tired of bent jacks. I fabricated brackets for the jacks so they go on/off easily and store out of the way. I'll post up some pics later.

Here’s the pics I promised... you can see how I mount the jacks.
