Power converter fan behaving badly - need help ASAP

All - wondering if I'm imagining a problem.

We just had our 1007 out for the first trip of the summer, and I noticed the power converter fan turned on very frequently (every 10-15 minutes) and only ran for 5 - 15 seconds at a time. I was surprised it would stop so quicky and am wondering if there's a defect.

We had no issues with power.......refrig, A/C, lights, water reservoir pump, and duplex outlets worked fine.

We're leaving again for a longer trip in 4 days, so any advice would be great. I'm no electrician, so short of replacing a fuse, I'm not sure what I could do.

Thanks!

Scott

Dunno...doesn't sound right to me though. If the fan ran for 1-2 minutes, I'd be okay with that, but if it's only going for 15seconds I'd be surprised if that's enough to cool anything down. Does it seem to be overheating/feel hot?

Exactly. If it's kicking on to cool, it can be doing much in such a short span. I didn't notice any excessive heat at all. It was a fairly cool weekend, too. We weren't running the A/C. My guess is that there's a thermostat problem.

We had ours replaced after 2 or 3 trips out. The fan stopped working at some point, and it started to hum. The hum got pretty loud after a while. If you turned on anything that used 12 volts (ie lights) the hum stopped until you turned the light off.
