So I was crawling around my 2017 jay sport 12ud just looking at everything and I think it's so weird that the water lines for the fresh water tank are underneath the axle and the wiring harness is zip tied to the axle. I'm assuming it really doesn't move that much or else all of that would just get destroyed. Does anyone else have the same set up? And have you had any issues?

I've noticed this as well. One of my projects this Spring is to protect things under there a little better. The trailer brake wiring looks like a three year old ran them.

I think when I get it back from the dealer I'm going to put it on a lift at my work and lift it up and secure everything properly because the last thing I need is something going wrong driving through the mountains!

So in this picture on the jayco website, is that little white water line looking thing that runs in front of the street side tire your water line?

https://www.jayco.com/products/campi...ay-sport/12ud/

It appears to be routed above the axle if my aging eyeballs are seeing it correctly. I know I'd want mine routed that way.

As far as zip ties go, I'd secure that better too if it was me. My chicken coop was using zip ties to secure some chicken wire to a larger section of ranch style fencing and that stuff rotted in the elements and broke (all 4 dozen of them) in a couple of years just sitting there

Especially my propane hose, seriously is just drooping all the way down the belly to the rear quick connect. I bought a shorter trailer to take off the beaten path and don't need a stick or something flipping up and ripping out brake wires or puncturing a propane line.

Industrial grade UV resistant zip ties are available for long term durability. They last much longer than cheapo ones sold most places.

If its work to install and important to hold long term, invest in better zip ties.
