You have to have a battery.. otherwise the emergency disconnect switch wont work...

well, it turns out my camper's converter isn't capable of running the parking lights... So, I guess that project has been shot down. Oh well. Thanks for all the help everyone.

You must not have brakes on your trailer. If you did, it would have to have a battery to power the emergency brakes.

yeah it has brakes on it. they are mechanical brakes, not electric. it has a brake fluit reservoir on the tounge and a cable that attaches to the TV.
