Seller's remorse after selling our pop up.

Anyone sell their camper and then have seller's remorse? We bought our 2003 Designer 12F5 used back in 2008. We really liked it and kept good care of it. But over the last few years we rarely used it. So we decided to sell it. Then add the new owners were driving away with our camper I was saddened to see her go. But it went to a younger family whose daughter was so excited to have her own bed in the camper. Maybe in the near future we will find a nice used hybrid camper and start camping again. I'm thinking now that I'm a little older that I would like a camper I don't have to crank up and down. But still not have something that is super long.Click image for larger version

Wow that thing is in great condition. Nice job over the years on the upkeep. You may have some remorse now but once you get onto a new camper and make new memories all that will go away.

I actually sold it for $100 more than we originally paid for it 12 years ago. But I have medical bills and home remodeling to do.

Yup, been there done that! I sold a 1995 Jayco 1207 that I lifted and heavily modified, the GF wanted a hard sided camper and since I bought a diesel we definitely had options. Should have kept the 1207, I sold it for significantly more than I paid for it. I’ve occasionally run into the family that bought it and they love it as much as I did. It’s great to know that they actually appreciate it and take care of it... So many people have a throw away mentality it’s rare to find those that appreciate what they have.

Our last camper was a Fleetwood Arcadia pop up. A lot of research was done before we settled on that brand and model. It was great, but we were very lucky over the 5 years we owned it, in that we didn't have to set up or take down in the pouring rain. We decided to get a hard side trailer before our luck ran out. We, too, loved that pop up, but it was time to upgrade, and it was worth it.

We still have our memories of every RV we've owned, all six of them. New trailer, and like TC said, new memories.

We just upgraded from a 2013 Jayco 1206 popup to a 2019 Jayco Jay Flight SLX 298BH TT in June. I had some remorse the day we sold the popup and I saw the new family drive away with it.

That remorse went away about a week later when I picked up the new 32' TT. We love this trailer.

However, the remorse came back when I had to keep filling up the tank on my thirsty truck! I don't get near the mileage I once did.

Fortunately, the remorse went away again once my DW saw how easily it was to setup a TT. Once unhooked, leveled, with power and water connected, she asked, what's next. I said, pull out the chairs, start a fire, and pop a cold one. We both smiled.

If it helps, our family was on the receiving end of someone else's generosity and willingness to part with their motorhome.

You've enabled more New, Happy Memories for that family that you'll ever know.

I miss ours sometimes, we had it since 04 but the last 5 years only used it a couple of times a year. We planned on getting a new popup with the slide on the side then saw the price and started looking at trailers and ended up with a 242BHS. I still have fond memories when people pull into the campground with a popup, then I watch them set it up and get over it. The new trailer has definitely rejuvenated our camping spirit, just did our 20th camp since last April with the new trailer and have no intentions of slowing down.
