Simple solar install?

New to the popup world and learning a lot!

I wanted to add simple 240 watt 12v solar charging to my Jayco 2012 popup. I'm extremely familiar with solar so know everything I need. I just wasn't sure if I can hook up the mppt controller directly to the camper 12v battery while still having it connected to the ac/dc distribution/charging panel WF-8735. I worry I will burn something out if the panel is working against the solar or the solar is feeding "charging power" to it.

Silly worry?

I would wire it directly to your battery. You won't have to worry about it backfeeding into the charging system from the converter due to not needing the solar panels if you're connected to shore power.

X2, no worries. Both sense battery voltage and will adjust output as needed. I rarely even turn the breaker on for my shoreline power converter, the solar keeps my batteries charged.
