Skylight Loosens While Traveling

Hi
Have a 2007 Jayco 10 foot pop up. The skylight occasionally opens up while we are traveling on the highway. This means that we have to pull over, clear out the items being stored to gain access to skylight to reclose from inside. Any suggestions as to how to "latch" from outside to ensure this does not happen?
Thanks!

Sounds like the roof vent not the skylight.

I bought a max air roof vent cover, and leave mine open all year.

A little piece of tape, to hold the handle from rotating. Maybe add a slight bend in the arm, to add some resistance. Personally I would add a vent cover.

X2 and that solved my worry about water entry.

With a vent cover, I open the vent when I de-winterize in the Spring, and don't close them again until just before we put the unit away for the winter.

Mine used to do the same thing all the time, and it seemed to be related to items stored between the mattress and the cap. They were likely rubbing against the knob. Never happened when that space was empty.

Agree with others, a MaxAire or other covers will make the problem moot. You can drive with the cover fully open without issue.
