Stuck without answers

Hi, Im in the northwoods in my 1992 Jayco 1006 Deluxe popup. My heater stopped working this morning. Because so, I investigated to find out that I may have blown a 5 amp fuse. I have since replaced the fuse but did not try my heater yet. I noticed a button to the left of my fuses...it shows to press the button up for battery ...button down for converter(?). But there's also a middle position too. But it doesnt say anything. I do not use a battery. I just plug in my pup and use electric. What would the middle position be for. Owners manual doesn't explain. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
