Tent tight over one corner.

Since we have had our pop up one corner of the tent is hard to pull over the extended bed. It's actually started to tear in that area from be pulled and stretched over many times. Is there a way to put some slack in the tent so it's not a bear to pull over the corner?

What year and model?

Our 1007 had Velcro'd flaps, so there was always room to adjust. If yours is the same setup, try setting that corner first, that should allow you to pull it down a bit easier. Also, you could always close up the canvas and then set the poles underneath. This would allow you to have lots of slack while setting the edges.

It's a 2003 Designer 12F5. It's always been tight at that corner. Was looking at where the tent it attached closer to the box. It is screwed onto the frame. Maybe I can pull the screw and give it a little slack and then refasten it. It does have the flaps with velcro. Our old camper just had an elastic cord the you want would stretch over some hooks to keep it in place.

I removed the screw holding the tent to the box. I was able to pull the tent out about an inch to give it some slack. Then put the screw back in place. Doesn't seem as tight over the corner, now.

Check the exact height of each corner from the frame to the top. You might have one of the cables tighter than the other three and that corner is simply higher.

Some systems have adjustments hidden away somewhere if you find a corner higher than the others.
