Never been a fan of pre-ground, mediocre coffee in a plastic blister pack of indeterminate age and storage.

But then again, I roast my own beans

We got a mini at a rummage sale from a neighbor. They had it in their trailer which they hardly ever used then sold in spring. We only got to use it one trip. It flew out of a cabinet and hit the floor on the way to our last destination. It only makes a 1/3 of a cup now.

That's the beauty of a Keureg. You can buy refillable filters and use what ever coffee you like. We haven't bought prefilled pods in a long time. Too expensive and usually not as good.

Wasn't aware of the refillable aspect.
So the advantage is one cup at a time ?

We bring different flavors of coffee, hot chocolate and lemonade for the kids. Also my wife loves hot tea in the evening, especially if it is chilly out... It fits in our sink for easy storage while we are on the road and a 1 gallon bag full of different pods is all the room it takes.

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my grandfather didĖin his sleep. Not yelling and screaming like the passengers in his car.

For me it would be it's small footprint on limited counter space, and 1-cup in the AM is all I drink.

We generally don't have power and I refuse to fire up a generator @6:00AM so I'm limited to gas stove for the water. I use a glass thermal carafe from Ikea (3$) and have a #4 filter funnel the fits snugly into the top. I boil 5c water, 2c for my wife's tea, and 3c to pour over my coffee grounds in the funnel. Carafe keeps it scalding hot all morning.
I use the same setup when tent camping as well.

X2. It's great.... Variations for our whole family too.

We never leave home without our VIA ( Starbucks instant coffee ). It changed my backpacking life and now has transitioned into the TT.

If you have never tried it, give it a taste. It is awesome and will make you rethink instant.

I agree. Via is awesome. First time having it was due to crappy hotel room coffee and a Starbucks across the street!
