Tire Replacement - Jayco 2001 Eagle 10ud

Can I replace the current Carlisle Sport Trailer tires (5.30-12) Load C with 20.5x8.0-10 Load C tires on my Jayco Eagle 10ud?
Also are the wider tires better than the current thinner tires?

For those prices you could get two new radial trailer tires and not have to change wheels. I am planning on making the move to ST145R12D radial over the bias these trailers run on my Qwest 8U, it runs the 5.30-12C tires as well.
