Trouble Repairing Pusher Spring

Hi all,

I have a 1985 Jayco Dove 6 pop-up that I bought used a few years ago. Over the summer, one corner would not pop up, while the other three worked fine. We diagnosed that the pusher spring had somehow got kinked, and thought that was our issue. We attempted to replace the pusher spring, but when we were putting tension on the spring it kinked again.

Is there a trick to replacing a pusher spring, or could it be that there is another issue somewhere else that needs to be addressed before replacing the spring?

Any insights would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

I would suggest you tube. The ones I have looked at needed the top to be propped up to make the repair.

Sorry no help here, I have replaced broken cables, but no springs.

Youtube probably will be your friend. You might also find instructions on Google, but I suspect it will take a fair amount of key word searching to find a repair manual.

Here is the OEM manual for the PU, but I did not see anything on how to repair the lift system.
