uneven roof when popped up

I have a 2007 jayco 1207 pop up. When I pop it up, the front roof of the camper is lower than the back. The left front is about 5 inches lower and the right is about 3. What could cause this and how can I fix it??

I am assuming that your hoist system is similar to the one on my older 1006 (manual winch, cables, etc.). If so, it sounds like two of your cables are out of whack (technical term). When I first got my used 1006, one corner would not go up and it turned out that the eyebolt for that corner had stretched out and released the cable connection. You need to inspect your cable system from the winch all the way to each leg connection. In addition to the four into one cable connections at the winch, there are numerous pulleys that can come loose. This is a pain in the butt since you have to go in behind a lot of your cabinetry and maybe even remove some of it. Good luck.

My Qwest 10v had an adjustment on the cable/winch mechanism that would level the roof front to rear. If you follow the cable from the front winch to the back behind the bumper was a threaded rod with a nut and lock nut that adjusted the lift between the front and rear lift cables.

Check floor corners for rotting wood.
